21st Annual Breakin' Clay for The Cure Memorial Shoot
Breakin’ Clay For The Cure, Inc. is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose members decided to take one of their hobbies and create an exciting event that would bring both friends and family together for a fun day of Sporting Clays, friendship, and camaraderie, all while raising money for charitable causes.
Each year we select a charitable organization to be the beneficiary of our annual Sporting Clays event. Our beneficiary for 2026 will be the Allentown Rescue Mission. Founded in 1900, the Allentown Rescue Mission is the largest men’s homeless shelter in the Greater Lehigh Valley. For more than 125 years, the Mission has served men experiencing homelessness and crisis with a clear purpose: to rescue them from immediate hardship, rehabilitate them through structured support and faith-based guidance, and restore them to self-sufficiency and stable, productive community living.
Located at 355 West Hamilton Street in Center City Allentown, the Mission serves residents throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley, with extended reach into Carbon, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties. As a 100% privately funded organization, the Mission relies entirely on the generosity of individuals, churches, foundations, and community partners. In 2025, the Mission provided 30,959 nights of shelter and 59,756 meals, serving 877 men through the Emergency Shelter and related programs.
Services are delivered through three integrated programs designed to move men from crisis to long-term stability. The 94-bed Emergency Shelter is the critical first point of contact, providing safe housing, nutritious meals, clean clothing, showers, and free medical care through the on-site DeSales Free Medical Clinic. The Transformation Program, an optional second step, is an eight-week, residential program for men who are ready to commit to changing the trajectory of their lives. With a living capacity of 26 residents, the program provides shared housing, meals, clothing, and medical care at no cost to participants. Weekly programming includes life-skills and workforce development classes, life coaching, morning devotions, evening chapel, and daily Bible classes. Graduates may advance to the Clean Team Workforce, a transitional employment program offering paid, supervised work experience that reinforces responsibility and long-term employment success. And our promise is to continue serving our graduates. After leaving, if challenges arise, prior Clean Team employees can rejoin our workforce — they know the Allentown Rescue Mission will always be here for them with a room, a hot meal, and a job.
We hope that you will join us in supporting Allentown Rescue Mission by participating in our annual Sporting Clays event on Sunday, October 11th 2026, taking advantage of one of our available sponsorship opportunities, or by making a donation… whichever way you choose to support Breakin’ Clay for The Cure, rest assured, your contribution will be appreciated and will benefit a worthy and noble cause.
